Start that Call (GoTo Meeting): Usage

Once configured, open any Confluence page or Jira ticket, and you'll find a new option under the More actions menu in Confluence or the Actions menu in Jira.

Clicking it opens a pop-up window with meeting setup options:

  1. When you try to create a call while not signed into GoTo, you will be asked to do so.

    1. Click Sign In to navigate to the GoTo authentication screen.

    2. Click Allow to let the plugin manage sessions. You will be navigated back to Atlassian.

    3. Click Confirm Sign In to proceed.

  2. Once signed in, the pop-up displays controls for managing the meeting:

    • Meeting participants: An optional input field for inviting people to the call.

    • Find recordings: Ask the plugin to post comments with your recordings and transcripts, which have not been posted previously.

    • Create meeting: Use this button to Start that Call.

After creating the meeting, you’ll receive the meeting link.

Please note, that Safari users may not be able to initiate the meeting by the link due to GoTo platform limitations.

The Confluence page or Jira ticket will also have an automatic comment with the link and mentions for the invited participants.

The mentioned users receive notifications via Atlassian notifications, email, Slack, or other channels, allowing them to join the call without needing prior awareness of the Confluence page or Jira ticket.

Once the call is complete and the meeting artifacts (recordings and transcripts) are processed, a new comment with links to these artifacts will be added under the original comment within an hour.

Note: Transcripts are available for GoTo Meeting Business (and above) plan users.

Warning: Start that Call only notifies about the meeting artifacts availability on the cloud once they are ready, but does not track their actual status after the notification.
