Sigma Tree: Understanding Budget Fields

Sigma Tree provides several fields designed to support project budget management:

• Σ Original Estimate (subtree) - roll-up field that aggregates the original estimate for the particular work item and all of its child items.

• Σ Remaining Estimate (subtree) - roll-up field that aggregates the remaining estimate for the particular work item and all of its child items.

• Σ Time Spent (subtree) - roll-up field that aggregates the time spent on the particular work item and its child items.

• Σ Progress (subtree) - calculated implementation progress based on the values of Σ Time Spent (subtree) and Σ Remaining Estimate (subtree).

• Budget Forecast (subtree) - projected budget usage based on Σ Time Spent (subtree) and Σ Remaining Estimate (subtree).

• Budget Status (subtree) - current budget state derived from Σ Original Estimate (subtree), Σ Time Spent (subtree), and Σ Remaining Estimate (subtree).
