When you choose the Select from page attachments option allows while adding a 
Simple Diagrams macro, you'll be able to select any existing diagram attached to the page with the .drawio extension, insert it into the page, and , if necessary, update it using the editor.After open it for editing.
When you click the Select from page attachments button click, the a list of page’s page attachments with the particular .drawio extension will be shown.
Clicking on the list item opens a diagram editor setting the selected diagram as a source.
When displayed:
Select a diagram from the list above, and it will be opened in the editor:

Note: selecting diagram from attachments doesn’t create copy of diagram, i.e. if you select the same diagram in 2 macros, changes will be displayed in both macros. |
Once you have finished working with the diagram, click the Save Save & Exit button to save the changes and exit editor or the editor. Alternatively, you can click Exit to discard the any changes made (if any) and leave.
After thatAfterwards, you 'll will see the a preview of the selected diagram.
